Official Photo & Signature Guidelines
Compare what your form demands with what this tool produces by default:
| Parameter | This tool (default preset) | Official requirement |
|---|---|---|
| Dimensions | 240 × 240 px | Exact pixel dimensions per notification — commonly 240 × 240 px |
| File size | Target 35 KB slider (adjustable) | Must stay inside the notification's KB window — most forms prefer 20–50 KB |
| Format | JPG / JPEG | JPG / JPEG only |
| Name & Date stamp | OFF — toggle anytime | Not required for this document type |
- Use your LEFT thumb for males and RIGHT thumb for females (as per IBPS convention) — ink it fully and evenly.
- The thumb impression should be on plain white paper, neither too light nor smudged, in 240 × 240 px (20–50 KB, JPG).
- The handwritten declaration must be written in your own hand in black/blue ink — typed text is rejected.
- Write the exact declaration text given in the notification without skipping words.
- Declaration images are typically 240 × 240 px, 20–50 KB (JPG/JPEG).
- Do not fold, crumple or highlight the paper before scanning or photographing it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which thumb should I use for IBPS — left or right?
IBPS convention asks male candidates to use their LEFT thumb impression and female candidates to use their RIGHT thumb impression. An inked thumb pad pressed fully onto plain white paper works best.
What should my handwritten declaration for IBPS say?
Every IBPS notification includes exact declaration wording which must be handwritten (usually about 20–30 words, e.g. 'I, ... , hereby declare that all the statements made in this application are true...'). Copy that text exactly in your own hand, then upload the scan here to compress it.
IBPS is rejecting my thumb impression file. Why?
Rejections usually happen when the image exceeds 50 KB, has the wrong pixel dimension, or the impression is too faint/smudged. Re-ink and re-press for a clear print, then use this tool to force the file into the correct 240 × 240 px and 20–50 KB envelope.
Is the handwritten declaration required to be in English?
Write it in English (unless your notification explicitly allows another language) in running hand — not block/capital letters — and sign nothing else. The declaration must match the wording given in the advertisement word for word.
Tip: if your form also requires a photo with name & date, use the SSC Photo Maker.
