Official Photo & Signature Guidelines
Compare what your form demands with what this tool produces by default:
| Parameter | This tool (default preset) | Official requirement |
|---|---|---|
| Dimensions | 350 × 450 px | Exact pixel dimensions per notification — commonly 350 × 450 px |
| File size | Target 45 KB slider (adjustable) | Must stay inside the notification's KB window — most forms prefer 20–50 KB |
| Format | JPG / JPEG | JPG / JPEG only |
| Name & Date stamp | ON — printed at bottom | Name & DOP printed at the photo bottom |
- Most State PSC portals ask for a recent passport-style colour photograph on a plain light background — roughly 350 × 450 px.
- Typical file range is 20–50 KB (JPEG); some boards vary slightly, so confirm your commission's advertisement.
- UPPSC/BPSC often expect the candidate's name and the date of photo printed at the bottom — keep the stamp on.
- Signatures should be in black/blue ink, in running hand, within the stated box size and KB range.
- Avoid caps, dark glasses and heavy glare on spectacles — commission verification staff check these.
- Photos and signatures must match the originals produced at the time of document verification.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do UPPSC and BPSC accept the same photo dimensions?
Both commissions typically ask for a passport-style photo near 350 × 450 px in the 20–50 KB range, but each advertisement can differ slightly. Check your specific notification and use the custom dimension fields if needed.
Is the name and date of photo stamp mandatory for State PSC forms?
Several State PSC boards follow the SSC-style convention of printing the candidate's name and date of photo at the bottom. This preset has the stamp on by default — switch it off only if your advertisement explicitly says not to add it.
Can I compress my signature with this page too?
Yes — the same tool handles signatures. Switch the preset to the signature option or enter custom dimensions (a common signature spec is 140 × 60 px, 10–20 KB), then download.
My UPPSC portal rejects files above 50 KB. How strict is it?
Since the tool targets the KB under your setting, downloading again with a lower target (say 45 KB) keeps you safely inside. The badge above the download button shows the true final size before you save.
